Methodist Episcopal Church, South Denison, Texas The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, December 24, 1893 pg. 1 CHRISTMAS IN DENISON How the Date is to be Celebrated by Churches, Societies, and Individuals METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, SOUTH This Saturday evening everything around at the South Methodist Church is all astir, getting ready for the Christmas tree that is to be given to-night by and for the benefit of the Sunday school. Mr. Culpepper, the superintendent, and all of the teachers have given much time and some money to the tree, and in as much as the Gazetteer goes to press at noon Saturday it is impossible to give particulars as to the program that will be rendered this evening. Mrs. M.C. Husted, Mrs. Waples, Mrs. Simpson, Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Creager, Mrs. Byrd and many more of Denison's best ladies are interested in the success of the tree.
