Little Egypt Methodist Services were held regularly in
the Little Egypt Community schoolhouse from the late 1870s to about
1914. Reverend Joe Meeks was the minister. When a
new schoolhouse was built to the east of the Cedar Mills Community, the
children of Little Egypt began to attend this new school.
The members of Little Egypt Methodist Church began worshiping with the new Post Oak Grove (Shiloh) Baptist Church which had been built to the west of Cedar Mills. Some of the members of the Little Egypt Methodist Church were: Mrs. Joe (Lizzie) Meeks and family Jacobs Family Bates Family Joe & Minnie Burns John Meeks Family Bill Meeks Family Pitts Family Kenneth Guggle Family Ben Ogdoxely Family.
