 The Kentuckytown Baptist Church was organized in 1853. I. O. Perkins was its first clerk. The Texas State Historical Survey Committee recognized the church as an area landmark and erected a Texas Historical Landmark marker in 1966. The current church building is located at the end of Kentuckytown Road.
