Central Church of Christ Sherman, Texas The Dallas Morning News October 16, 1897 RELIGIOUS SERVICES Sherman, Tex., Oct. 17 - Special topical services were held at the Methodist churches of the city to-day under the auspices of the Women's Parsonage and Home Mission societies. The respective...preached the annual sermons at the close of the week of prayer, which has been observed by the above named society. At St. Paul's Congregational church memorial services were held on account of the recent death of the great prohibitionist, Neal Dow. Mr. Barton Dillard addressed a meeting of the Young People's union at the Central Christian church to-day.
