Cedar Methodist Church 33.5631629 96.5060984 Cedar
Methodist Church was a log cabin built on land deeded by J. G. Vestal
and Col. J. R. Cole. It was organized in 1871 and located
one-half mile south of the church on the Whitemound-Cedar Road.
The frame church building located on Whitemount-Cedar Road was built in 1891 and was destroyed by a tornado in 1960. A new structure was dedicated in October 1960.
