First United Methodist Church Sherman, Texas Dallas Morning News 27 September 1897 Bishop Duncan Did Not Preach Sherman, Tex., Sept. 26 - Bishop Duncan did not deliver an Episcopal address at the First Methodist church today as announced in the morning's News. He has been indisposed all day and unable to attend any service at all today. He will, however, leave for El Paso tomorrow afternoon and will open the New Mexican conference in that city on Thursday morning. After the completion of his Episcopal labors at El Paso, he will proceed to Mexico and begin the holding of the mission conferences in that country, beginning in the conference for the state of Chihuahua.
