BAPTIST CHURCH CALLS NEW PASTOR
Rev. Fred Waldrop of Avinger has accepted a call to the pastorate of First Baptist Church here.  The church has been without a pastor since the resignation of Rev. Newton Cole some months ago.
Mr. Waldrop and his wife and son will move to Whitewright early in October and will begin his work with the church October 14.  He received his education at East Texas State Teachers College at Commerce and Marshall Baptist College.
