CHRISTMAS IN DENISON
How the Date is to be Celebrated by Churches, Societies, and Individuals

AT THE BAPTiST CHURCH
Supt. Ivey and the good ladies and children as well as a number of the men folks of the Baptist Sunday School are hard at work building a "snow house" for this evening.  The local of the Gazetteer is not able to explain the construction nor the operation of a "snow house," but it, like the Christmas tree, requires money, labor and taste to make it successful.  Among the young ladies at work on the house are: Misses Dollie Douglas, Eva Holmes, Mattie and Edna Foster, Maud Hume, Lola Bell, Lizzie Roy and Effie Thomas.  Among the elder ladies are: Mesdames Bell, Robert, Wooding, St. John, Hume, Foster, Sherburne, Tignor, Johnson, Durland, Williams, Thomas and Terry.  The ladies of the aid society have recently supplied the church with a handsome new carpet, while the walls and ceiling of the building have yielded nicely to the art of the paper hangers and decorators.  A number of the ladies named above are at work this evening on designs in pasteboard and cedar with which to decorate the building.  The Baptist people and their friends in Denison are quite numerous and no doubt the large church building will be filled to its capacity and that the snow house will bring joy to the hear of many a little boy and girl.
