January 25, 1954 George W. Tatum Dies in Sherman Sherman, Texas - George W. Tatum, 70, retired machinist, died Saturday night at his home after a heart attack. Funeral arrangements were pending. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Mr. Tatum was born in 1883 at Grapevine and had resided all his life in the county. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Allen Tatum of Oklahoma City; five daughters, Mrs. Lorene Goode of Colbert, Okla., Mrs Frances Shannon and Mrs. Martha Guffey of Sherman, Mrs. Vista Mae Greene of Dallas, and Mrs. Marie Neff of Denison; two brothers, W.L. Tatum of Sacramento, Calif., and L.E.Tatum of San Angelo; a sister, Mrs Fannie Mae Gumm of Sherman; twenty grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
