80 Year Old Farmer Dies Near Sherman

Sherman, Texas, May 19 - Services were conducted Monday for Simon Crittendon Smith,80, retired farmer, who died after five days illness at a hospital. He had lived in the Greystone community for twenty-one years.
Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery, west of Sherman.
A native of Cumberland County, Kentucky, Mr. Smith came to this county forty-one years ago.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs Mary Smith; six sons, C.A. & C.C. Smith of Dallas, V.T. & C.K. Smith of Amarillo, W.C. Smith of Denison, route 3, and C.H. Smith of Sherman; two daughters, Mrs F.H. Albright of Sherman and Mrs. F.J. Jacob of Robstown; two half sisters, Mrs J. Bert Carter of Sherman and Mrs MInnie Klepper of Dallas, a half brother, M.H. Smith of Dallas; fourteen grandchildren and five great - grandchildren.
