Carol Ann Abicht Shadden 17 March 1936 - 26 December 2002 SHERMAN
- Carol Ann Abicht Shadden, former activist in Democratic Party
politics and a long-time advocate for women and their families, died on
Thursday morning, December 16, 2002, at the Siteman Cancer Center in
St. Louis, Missouri. Mrs. Shadden had leukemia.
Mrs. Shadden is survived by her mother, Mrs. Anna Lee Abicht; her children, Brian Shadden and wife Lynne of Whitesboro; Melodie Jackson of Sherman; Robbin Keller and husband, Chuckor Palmyra, MO; five grandchildren, Ashlyn Shadden; Ethan Shadden; Charles Bazil Keller V, Don Jackson; niece, Kaye Brouse, cousins, and many friends. Funeral services for Mr. Sbadden will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at the Friendship United Methodist Church in Sherman, TX. Dr. Tom Groves, Methodist minister and Reverend Charles Hahn of the church will officiate. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery. On Monday December 30, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. the family will receive friends at Mrs. Shadden?s home in Sherman. In lieu of flowers, her family has asked that memorial donations be made to the Pregnancy Care Center PO Box 3237 Sherman, Texas 75091.
