November 14, 2010 Billie Gayle "Granny" Saylors, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 10, 2010. Billie was born Aug. 6, 1936, in Lambert, Miss., the daughter of Margaret Colton and Everett Wood. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Friendship Cemetery in Sherman. Services will be officiated by Rev. Beth Kellner and are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Special thanks goes to John Dudley and his family and all who helped make this possible. Billy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by son Dennis Maxey and daughters Regina James and Margo Hudson; four brothers, Ernest, Gene, Jerry and Terry Wood; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. "Although your work here on Earth is done, your life in heaven has just begun.
Your struggles here were hard and long; but they are over now and you are finally home. Life wasn't easy by choice or fate - a decision made some things too late, a fight to the finish, and you were always strong. Rest easy, Mom; you are finally home."
