The Herald Democrat February, 2010 Carol Sue Mitchell, 70, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010, at WNJ Medical Center. Dannel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon, February 10, 2010 at Dannel Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Deacon Dick Almos of Slidell, Louisiana officiating. Interment followed at Friendship Cemetery. Sue was born in Wichita Falls on November 20, 1939, daughter of Curtis and Vera Geneva Franklin. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1958. On July 26, 1958, she married Harold Mitchell, and they had enjoyed more than 51 years of marriage. Sue worked in fashion retail and was employed by several upscale boutiques in Sherman. She was a member of the Antique Club and had served as a volunteer for Home Hospice of Grayson County. Preceding Sue in death were her parents and a sister, Wanda Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Harold; son, Wylie Mitchell and wife, Jennifer, of Southmayd; daughter, Mindy Yates and husband, Rusty, of Garland; grandchildren, Nicole Yates, Mitchell Yates and Joshua Mitchell; and several cousins. Pallbearers were Shane Mitchell, Rusty Yates, Paul Bailey, Steve Mitchell, Tim Mitchell, and Andy Mitchell. Memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County, P. O.
