Beatrice McDonald, 95, passed away April 15, 2011 at Texas Health Presbyterian - WNJ. The family will be at Dannel
Funeral Home on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Pastor Bill Whitehead will officiate. There will be a private interment at Friendship Cemetery.

Ms. McDonald was born January 16, 1916 in Sherman, TX to John David and Jennie (Abernathy) Beard. She was a seamstress for Pool Manufacturing for several years. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by a daughter Johnnie Bearden and husband Ted of Sherman; son Gerald Puckett and wife Wanda of Woodinville, Washington; sisters: Lorene Hamby and Louise Adami, both of DeQueen, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Erik Bearden of Sherman and April Bearden of Denison; and great grandchild Tedi Jade Bearden of Sherman. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Marsh Wayne Puckett; brothers: Fred Beard, Dave Beard and Jack Beard; and sisters: Maude Sue Beard, Gladys King, Velma Burch, Hazel Melton, Catherine Thornhill and Faye Sweeney.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Richard Beard, Erick Bearden, Mike Reynolds, Mike Dollar and Ron Bearden.

The family wishes to express thanks for the care given in the ER and SICU, especially Dr. Mia, Dr. Lopez, and Dr. Van Buskirk of in-house hospice; to the nurses on 4 central; and the caregivers at Home To You and Grayson Home Health.
