Mildred G Harvey, age 100 passed away in the early morning hours of Dec 18 in Tyler,Tx.

Mildred was born in Abbott ,Tx on Oct 15, 1915 and moved to Sherman at an early age. She attended schools in Southmayd and graduated from Whitesboro. She met and married (Russell) Tipp Harvey on April 10, 1937 and to this union were born
2 children, Shirley and Wesley.

They lived most of their married life in Sherman with the exception of a short time in California and 8 years in Pasadena where Tipp served as a civil service fireman. After Moving back to Sherman Mildred became very active in her church,
Key Memorial United Methodist. She served as a Sunday school teacher, and worked with the youth and sang in the choir. She also worked in the church charity store-"the Greenhouse". She also worked for 10 years at the Sherman ISD cafeteria.

Mildred moved to Tyler, Tx to be near her daughter in Feb 2010 and resided at the Garden Estates Assisted Living for four years and from there moved to the Heights Nursing Home.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years and one grandson. She is survived by her children and spouses, Shirl and Michael Williams and Wes and Bonnie Harvey, 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grand-daughters, one sister and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Family Visitation will be held from 6-8p.m. on Sunday Dec 20 at Waldo funeral home in Sherman,Tx.

Funeral services are to be held at Waldo Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Monday Dec 21 with interment at Friendship Cemetery. Pall bearers will be her 3 grandsons and 3 great grandsons.
