DENISON - Funeral services for Joyce M. Goolsby "Nana," 66, of Denison will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9,
2011 at the Pathway Church of God in Sherman with Rev. Bill Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Garry Crouse, Ronny Crouse, Rodney Crouse, Jeremy Crouse, Travis Crouse, and Benny Dixon. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson, Mitchell, Matthew, Benjamin, and Maxwell.
The family will receive friends from 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Fisher Funeral Home.
Joyce was born March 21, 1944 in Denison, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Lee (Graves) Spielvogel. She passed from this life on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Texas Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ in Sherman. Joyce lived most of her life in Denison and worked for Hitchcock (Denison Industries) as a machinist for 20 years. Then as a cook for eight years with Johnson & Johnson and later as a provider at Red River Health for six years until health problems forced her into retirement. She was a faithful member of Pathway Church of God and loved going to church. Joyce enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, making things for her grandchildren and family, and always enjoyed her pets.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and beloved daughter, Rayleen Phelps.
Joyce is survived by her loving family, son, Randell Morrow of Denison, daughter, Rolanda Morrow of Denison, son, Ryan Goolsby of Huntsville, daughter, Jackie Goolsby and Delvin Brokaw of Denison, sister, Ellen Crouse and husband, Garry
of Pottsboro, grandchildren, Darla Davis, Morgan, Mattie, Mitchell, Maxwell, Matthew, Lillie, Logan, and Jackson, honorary grandchildren, Nevaeh, Jace, and Raiden, best friend, Louise Jones of Denison, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 West Main St. in Denison.
