Friday, May 27, 1949 pg. 8 DEATHS Funeral services for Perry Matthew Archer, 36, who was instantly killed when hit by an M-K-T train at the Katy golf course crossing, Thursday evening, were held Monday afternoon at Bratcher Moore chapel, with Rev. Walter Lazenby of Sherman, officiating. Mr. Archer was born in Sherman October 19, 1912, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Archer. He received his schooling in Pleasant Home school, west of Sherman. He had lived in Denison on Route 2 for the past 10 years. Survivors include 3 brothers, LeRoy, Rannel and Hugh Archer; and one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Thomas, Sherman.
