DENISON – Orien William "O.W." Via, 80, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at his home in Denison.
Visitation will be one hour before the service, from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M., Friday, September 27, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel in Denison.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, September 27, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel with Deacon Gary Vogel officiating. Military honors will be provided by the U. S. Navy. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
O. W. was born Friday, April 27, 1933 in Denison, Texas, the son of Orien Wesley Via and Agnes DeFratus Via. He married Eleanor Suttlehan in Denison on September 17, 1959. He worked for Western Commercial Trucking for over 20 years; loved to work in his garden and take his dog, Alice, for walks in the park.
He is survived by his wife Eleanor of Denison; sons Thomas "Bill" Via & wife Barbara of Denison, Tyler Via of Wylie, Texas; daughter Holli Adair of Wylie; brother Frank Via of Bakersville, CA; grandchildren Shelby Via and William Blade Adair.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
