Thursday, May 10, 1928 Rev. James Reynolds, 80 years old, died at his home north of Bells Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The funeral and burial services were held at the Fairview Cemetery, north of Savoy, Wednesday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. J.T. Purvis, pastor of the Central Christian Church, assisted by Rev. J.A. Henderson. The deceased was born in Tennessee in 1848, and had made his home north of Bells since 1902. For 57 years he was a devoted child of Christ and for many years was a minister in the Christian church. He is survived by his aged wife and 13 children, 34 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers and 1 sister, Mrs. J.A.
