Friday, May 10, 1957 pg. 2 Funeral services for Mrs. Scottie Cappleman Price, 84, were held at Funderburk Funeral Chapel Thursday, May 2. Lefton Hester, Ector Church of Christ minister, officiated and interment was in Fairview Cemetery with Funderburk in charge. Pallbearers were Arthur McLemore, Chas. Alverson, Floyd O. Smith, R.O. Holt, Bob Southerland and Roscoe Feagan. Mrs. Price died at her home, 601 W. Baker St. Wednesday, May 1, at 7:00 a.m., after two months of illness. She had lived in Denison 3 years, coming here from Fairview Community. She was a member of the Pecan Grove Church of Christ. Mrs. Price was born March 8, 1872 in South Texas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.S. Cappleman. She was educated in schools in Lanius, Texas and was married in 1891 to W.A. Price. Survivors are her husband; 3 daughters, Mrs. Floyd McLemore, Mossena, New York; Mrs. R.C. Caruth, Denison; and Mrs. Cecil Alverson, Savoy; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
