Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Mollie Mershon Porter were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Short-Murray chapel with Rev. Austin Smith officiating. Interment was at Fairview.
Mrs. Porter died at a local hospital following an illness of one week. Her home was at 301 W. Monterey.
Born October 15, 1868 at Bridgetown, Indiana, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Mershon. She was married November 21, 1886 at Savoy. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are 6 sons, R. M. Porter, Grand Junction, Colorado; De Allen Porter, Houston; L. L. Porter, Dickinson, Texas; Dewey Porter and Raymond Porter, both of Phoenix, Arizona; and Calvin Porter of Denison. Daughters are Mrs. J. S. Foster, Denison; Mrs. H. M. Amblin, Denton; and Mrs. A. L. Blackburn, Houston; besides other relatives.
