Sunday, September 14, 1890 pg. 1 MRS. MOTON DEAD Mrs. Harriett Moton, wife of Rev. E. W. Moton died at the family residence, No. 730 Owings street at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, death being the result of heart disease, from which the lady had suffered for years. Mrs. Moton was taken with a sudden and severe attack of her old malady on Wednesday evening which carried her off in a few hours. She was in the 62nd year of her age and had resided in Denison many years. The nobility of heart and amiability of disposition which characterized the deceased, in all her associations and actions; had made her beloved by a wide circle of friends, and her death will be mourned with a grief both deep and universal. She leaves, besides her husband, a family of grown-up sons and daughters, the best known in this city being Messrs. Lem and Bob Moton, and Mrs. John Brotherson, all residents of this city. The funeral, which was very largely attended took place Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, interment taking place at Fairview cemetery.
