James Eddie Mitchell went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 18, 2018.
James was born in Camden, Arkansas, October 12, 1945. He is a graduate of Fairview High School Class of 1963. James married the love of his life, Judy Clemens, May 3, 1969 in Camden, Arkansas. He was a resident of Sherman and Denison area since 1984. James was a proud Marine and past Master of Billie Mosse Masonic Lodge. James retired after 15 years of service with Taps.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Lee and Marjorie Nell (Bass) Mitchell, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. James Bass, son Alvin Scott Mitchell, grandson, James Kenneth Mitchell and brother, Alvin L Bass.
James is survived by his wife, Judy A. Clemens Mitchell of Denison, TX; two sons, James Eddie Mitchell II and wife, Lee-Ann of Durant, OK; Orrin Tyrel Mitchell and wife, Melissa of Denison, TX; sisters, Carolyn M Barham and husband, Johnny of Sherwood, AR; Doris M Boozer of Theodore, AL; Nell M Johnson of Theodore, AL; Betty Jo M Burkhard and husband, Ron of Hilo HI; Joyce Tatum and husband, Charles of Mobile AL: two brothers, Wayne Mitchell and wife, Kay of Fair Hope AL; Greg Mitchell of Vicksburg MS; grandsons, Christopher Mitchell, OT Mitchell, Devin Mitchell, and Colton Mitchell, granddaughter, Jenna Leigh Mitchell; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and also by dear friends, beloved as family, Danny Ellison, and Cathie and Bobby Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2018 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Marvin Barham officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Fisher Funeral Home. The funeral home will open at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Devin Mitchell, Colton Mitchell, OT Mitchell, Luke Havens, Michael Moore, JR Bell, Erik Havens and Devon Blanton.
