In this city, Wednesday morning, the 28th inst., at 5 o'clock, after a short illness, Texana Denison, daughter of Jno. G. and Lizzie McElvaney.
Sweet little Tennie so many of us had learned to love, was taken away by that scourge, Cerebro-Spinal Meningitis. Texana was but 6 months and 26 days old. She was the first child born in Denison, consequently, not a citizen but felt a lively interest in her welfare, and hoped she might grow to womanhood the joy of her parents and the pride of our young city.   Her sudden and untimely death will be mourned by an entire community.
The funeral services will take place from the residence of the parents, on Gandy Street, at 10 o'clock a.m. to-day.  Friends of the family are invited.
