John Albert Long, who died Saturday at a local hospital was buried Monday following services conducted at the Short-Murray chapel by Rev. Guy Newman and Rev. James E. Spivey. Interment was at Fairview.
Born May 2, 1883, in Fannin county, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Long. He attended schools at Ector and Denison and was married Aug. 4, 1922 to Miss George Ann Jacoby. He followed the business of grocery salesman for the past 34 years.
Surviving are his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Russell, Bonham and a brother, J. B. Long of Savoy, besides three sisters, Mrs. Mary Kemp, Eaton, Tex.; Mrs. Lee Howell, Corpus Christi and Mrs. S. B. McDaniel, Corsicana.
