11th Victim Butane Fire Is Claimed
Grim death with its persistent hand has claimed its 11th victim of the recent butane gas explosion which happened here November 21st at the intersection of Morton street and Maurice avenue, when a butane gas truck and a private sedan collided.
The 11th person claimed by death is Mrs. Ed Kilgore, who expired at the Long-Sneed hospital at 3:25 Thursday morning following a struggle of 21 days to live.  Funeral services will be held Friday.
The remaining 2 who were hospitalized immediately after the explosion are still making a heroic fight for life, one of them, Mrs. Bob Marshall, Dallas, who is in a hospital at Sherman, reported with chances to recover not so well, although holding her own as well as could be expected under the circumstances.
Another victim is 12-year-old Lonnie Joe Hammons of this city who is reported Thursday as being in a serious condition.  He is at the Long-Sneed hospital.
