The Sunday Gazetteer
Sunday, November 11, 1883 pg. 4 DIED In this city, Saturday morning, at 8 o'clock, Dr. Ellen C. Kallock, aged 29 years. Dr. Kallock came to this city with her husband, Prof. W.E. Kallock, principal of the Denison public school, about 1 years ago, and commenced the practice of her profession, in which she evinced very considerable skill, being a graduate of the medical department of the Michigan State University. During her residence in Denison she had, by those qualities which always commend themselves to the best element in society, made a large circle of friends who deeply sympathize with her bereaved husband. Three weeks ago she was stricken with a fever which, in spite of all efforts to the contrary, developed into a case of typhoid fever, and she gradually sank under its ravages which ended only with her life. She will be buried in the new cemetery from the M.E. church at 10 o'clock this morning.
