Gregory Gene Harrison passed away on January 2, 2022 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.  Greg's life began on September 13, 1948 in Dallas, Texas, son of Harold Herman Harrison and Bertha Mae Harrison.  He and his family moved to Denison, Texas when his Dad transferred with the MK&T Railroad in 1959.
Greg was an alumni of the Denison School System and attended several during his school years: Central Ward, Golden Rule, McDaniel, and graduated from Denison High School in 1967.
Greg's first job as a boy was riding a bicycle and delivering telegrams from Western Union.  He also worked at the Denison Manor with his brother, Randy, then at the Safeway Plant until they closed; then finished out his working years by retiring from B-line.  He always looked forward to the day when he could retire.
On September 3, 1976, Greg  married the love of his life, Betty Lee Fehr.  They were married 24 years and had 2 children before Betty's passing.
Greg was known as a jokester and always made people laugh.  He loved driving around on the back roads in the area to see nature at its best.  On some warm nights, after family gatherings, he would pile several family members into the back of his El Camino, driving around at night scaring the little kids in the car. Great times were had by all.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife.
He leaves behind his 2 sons, Jordan Harrison and wife, Bree; and Jacob Harrison and wife, Ellie; long-time friend, Nancy Forough; brothers, Randy Harrison and wife, Vicki; Gary Harrison and wife Debbie; sisters, Julie Hamby and husband, Randy; Angela Anderson; Suzanne Mattison and husband, Kevin; sisters-in-law, Carol McClure; and Sue Middleton; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Greg loved his large family and saw them often.   We will miss him dearly.
A  Celebration of LIfe was held Tuesday, February 1, 2022; services began at 2 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home; and burial was immediately after at Fairview Cemetery.
