Tuesday, November 8, 1921 pg.7 Mrs. M.E. Gray, age 68 years, died at the family home, 1309 South Rusk avenue, at 4:15 o'clock Tuesday morning, following an illness of several months of bright's disease. She is survived by 7 children: Mrs. Alice Urquhart of Denison; Mrs. Annie Urquhart of San Antonio; Mrs. Sadie Phillips of Houston; Miss Mamie Gray of Denison; W.H. Gray of Houston; Dick Gray and Mike Gray of Denison, all of whom were with her when the end came. Deceased was born in New Albany, Indiana, August 16, 1853, and grew into young womanhood there, marrying M.E. Gray and later moving to Texas, in which state she had been a resident for 30 years She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church, and a Pythian sister, holding membership in Lily Temple No. 3 of this city. Funeral services will be held from the family home at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, interment being in Fairview cemetery, with the Swank Undertaking Company in charge. The services at the home and the grave will be conducted by Rev. W.H. Wallace, Jr., pastor of the Trinity M.E. Church, and Rev. J.E. Morris. Gray, who died Tuesday morning at her home, 1309 South Rusk avenue, following an illness of several months, was held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the family residence. The burial rites at the house and cemetery were solemnized by Rev. W. H. Wallace Jr., pastor of the Trinity M. E. Church, and Rev. J. E. Morris, the latter delivering the funeral address. A selected choir from the Trinity M. E. Church sang an anthem at the home. Messrs. Jesse Foster, James McBee, Cecil Witten, Oliver Scheid, Wm. Garnder and L. D. Darnell were pallbearers. A large company of sorrowing relatives and friends followed the remains of the deceased to their last resting place in Fairview cemetery.
