Saturday, January 25, 1941 pg. 4 DEATH ROLL Shortly before noon today, Mrs. W.L. Dearing, 1117 W. Morgan street, died following an illness of 3 weeks in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from Short-Murray chapel with Rev. J.F. Murrell officiating. Interment will be at Fairview cemetery, Short-Murray directing. Mrs. Dearing was born December 12, 1863 at Bedford county, Virginia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.P. Rucker and came to Texas January of 18862 [sic]. She was married to Mr. Dearing at Beadford, December 13, 1831 and they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary December 13, 1940. She has been a member of the First Baptist church here since 1894. Surviving are her husband; 5 daughters, Mrs. E.L. Morgan of Dallas; Mrs. Lillian MacLachlan of Dallas; Mrs. Carl B. Sebring of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Annie Blanton of Ft. Worth; and Mrs. Willie Campbell of Denison; one brother, T.S. Rucker of Winston Salem, North Carolina; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grand child.
