Dan
Francis Brown (1892-1978), the boy who saved Harry Bodkin from drowning
in 1905, is listed in Fairview Cemetery along with his first wife,
Hazel Aline Sadler Brown (1894-1946). His name was apparently engraved
on the stone while he was still living. It includes no year of death.
Dan remarried and was eventually buried in Dallas next to his second wife, Flora Verbo Cooper Brown (1900-1979). An interesting coincidence is that Flora's first husband died the same year as Dan's first wife.
