DENISON - Sharon L. Smith, Newsom, Bailey 62, of Denison, Texas passed away Monday evening Jan. 7, 2013 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, with her loving family at her side.

Sharon was born April 4, 1950 to James F. and Marie Wallace Smith. She attended Denison schools and was a Certified Nurses Aid at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman for a few years before she became disabled. Sharon loved her mother, kids and grandkids whole-heartedly. She had a very very big heart and loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Husband Dewayne "Walls" Newsom, brothers-in-law Lee E. Carter and Marlon Glenn Warren and her beautiful niece Cristal Gail McBrayer. She is survived by her mother Marie Smith of Denison, sons Michael Flewallen and wife Samantha of Denison, Steven Wayne Bowers of Indiana, James Dewayne Newsom and wife Mary and Donald Wayne Newsom and wife Sherri all of Denison; daughter Gina Marie Thompson of Dallas; 10 grandkids, four great-grandkids; sisters Linda Carter of Denison, Gaylene House and Larry of Cartwright, Okla., Susan Measles and husband Jimmy and Loretta "Cookie" Warren; brother Larry J. Smith and wife Chiquita all of Denison; niece Carla Horton who thought the world of her Aunt. Numerous other nieces and nephews also survive.

Services for Sharon Bailey will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel in Denison with Terrie Hayes officiating. The Family will be at the Cemetery Chapel an hour prior to the Service for visitation. Pallbearers will be her two grandsons Nick Flewallen and Michael Flewallen, Jr., Karl Horton, Cass Smith, Bubba Bullock, Danny Conner and Jimmy Measles.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Okla.
