  James Deary 1 October 1937 - 10 September 2016 Betty Lou Deary 12 December 1940 - 9 September 2011 Herald Democrat September 11, 2011  DENISON - Betty Lou Deary, age 70, went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 9, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Mrs. Deary was born December 23, 1940 in Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Woodrow and Thalia (Brake) Applegate. She married the love of her life, James Deary October 1, 1960 in Bonham, Texas. Betty worked for 14 years at Care Inn Nursing Home. She enjoyed going camping and spending time with her family. The light of her life was her grandchildren and she loved them deeply. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Deary is survived by her loving family, husband, James Deary of Denison, TX.; children, Tempie McDonald and husband, Johnny of Calera, Jim Deary of Chicpoee, MA., Leah Renfro and fianc, Leroy Dorley of Denison, TX. and Tammy Jo Deary of Denison, TX.; grandchildren, Jimmy Hackney, Anthony Waters, Krystal Higginbotham, Vicki Dunlaney, Kristopher Renfro, Axton Deary, Kaylem Renfro and Tyler Deary; great-grandchildren, Jakob Hackney, Brandan Sharp, Bradley Hackney, Ethan Hackney and Ryder Renfro; three sisters Carolyn Durham, Patsy Lappin and Katy Kirtley; and two brothers, Robert Applegate and Mickey Applegate; in-laws, Herman and Doris Deary, Kenneth and Patricia Deary and Tommy and Shirley Deary and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Emma, Beverly and Shirley, brothers, WW Jr., Roy, Jimmy Don, Ben and Rudy. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dr. Chet Haney officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at Fisher Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jim Hackney, Axton Deary, Kristopher Renfro, Johnny McDonald, Leroy Dorley and Jim Gray.
