DENISON - Billy Gene Agee, 83, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Beacon Hill.
Mr.
Agee is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dora Agee of Denison; and
daughters, Carol Mitchell of Oklahoma, Phyllis Agee Lacey of Austin;
nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; half sister, Judy Gerda; and
half brother, Doug Agee.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Fisher Funeral Chapel with
Doyle Thompson officiating. Private interment will follow in Fairview
Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 7 -9 p.m. Thursday at
Fisher Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Denison.
Dora
Thompson Agee, age 81, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October
17, 2014 at Nanaw’s Place in Denison. Dora Thompson was born December
31, 1932 to William “Bill” and Beatrice (Burch) Thompson in the Dixie
Community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whiteboro
during her early teenage years. She graduated from Whitesboro High
School in 1951 and continued her education at the Drawton Business
School in Ft. Worth and the Sherman Business School locally. In 1953,
Dora married the love of her life, Billy Gene Agee in Sherman, Texas.
Mrs. Agee worked as the assistant manager of the Perrin AFB Federal
Credit Union until the base was shut down. She was the Grayson County
Auditor for many years and in 1995 retired from retired from the
position. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs.
Agee is survived by her loving family, daughter, Phyllis Lacey and
husband, Randy of Austin, TX, step daughter, Carol Mitchell of
Oklahoma, eight grandchildren, Arika Agee, Tiffany Lea, Monica Lacey,
Tammy Jackson, Dennis Mitchell, Billy Wayne Mitchell, Angela Campbell
and Jonathan Agee, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Agee, two sons,
Harry and John Agee, two granddaughters, Heather Agee and Christina
Lacey, parents, brother, and three sisters. Funeral services will be
held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Home. A
private family interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Denison.
