Kevin Gerrard Potts, age 51, entered into eternal life Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Potts was born April 18, 1960 in Denison, Texas the son of Roscoe and Gertrude (Potts) Morrison. He graduated from Denison High School. Kevin was well rounded and skilled to do unique work with his hands, specializing in home craftsman improvements. He was always willing to help others in the community, no matter what the task was, and he did it with joy. He enjoyed watching football, listening to old music and being with family. Kevin was employed with Tyson Foods as a machine operator. He loved the Lord and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Kevin was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother. He will continue to live on in the hearts of family friends.

Kevin is survived by his beloved family, parents, Roscoe and Gertrude Potts Morrison of Denison, TX, son, Kent McCullum and wife, Ashley of Denison, TX, daughters, Tonya Brigham of Houston, TX and Shanay Stewart of Houston, TX, seven grandchildren, brothers, Stevie Potts and wife, Elisabeth of Pittsburg, CA, Bruce Holmes of Dallas, TX and Tonien Hudson of McKinney, TX, sisters, Monica Stewart and husband, Jesse of Denison, TX, Janice Holmes and husband, Sam of Tulsa, OK and Cynthia Brownlow and husband, Earl of Sherman, TX, aunts, Sellestine Kimbrough and husband, Larry of Abilene, TX, Imogene Shaw of Denison, TX, T. J. McNealy of Denison, TX and Nettie Morrison of Allensworth, California, uncles, Finus Ray Potts and Harold Morrison both of Sherman, TX, special friend, Linda Stewart of Denison, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Randell and Earnestine Bell Potts and Quincy and Okada Morrison and infant brother, Clanton Morrison.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Manuel Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. There is no set time for family visitation. Public viewing will be held from 9 to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be O’Jay Johnson, Raylin Foster, Zachary Holmes, Solomon Holmes, Clanton Foster and Alphonso Douglas.
