Friday, August 2, 1957 pg. 3 Funeral services for T.E. Covington, 83, Bells Highway, were held at Johnson-Moore Chapel Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. Sam Allenbaugh officiated and interment was in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Collie Hodge, Ralph Covington, W.E. Hodges, Louis C. Miller, W.E. Hesty and.... Mr. Covington died in a local hospital Saturday, July 27, after a month's illness. He was born in Henryville, Tennessee, December 21, 1873, and received his education there. He married Annie Carden in 1898 at Whitewright. A farmer and realtor, he had lived in the Denison area for 25 years and made his home on the Bells Highway. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are seven sons: Monroe of Abilene; Claud and Cecil of Houston; T.C. of Galveston; and Earl of Pasadena, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Lee Bellview, Hot Springs, Arkansas; four brothers, O.M. of Durant; H.H. of Walker, Minnesota; R.L. of Dallas; and C.C. Covington of Bonham; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Taylor and Mrs. Edna Wood, Denison' 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
