Tuesday, June 2, 1936 pg. 1 Mrs. L. Sohl Old Residenter Dies Tuesday Mrs. Louise Sohl, 79, who took suddenly ill last Sunday, died at 8:26 a.m. Tuesday at the family home, 329 W. Texas. She had resided at that address for the past 42 years. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the home with Rev. L.R. Lamb, pastor of Calvary Baptist church officiating. Interment was made at Fairview with Short-Murray directing. Mrs. Sohl was born December 5, 1856 at Huffman Hallow, Maryland, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Barney Roof. She was married on March 8, 1873 at Louisville, Kentucky to Br. Sohl who died June 26, 1924. The family left the place of Mrs. Sohl's birth when she was a small child locating at Louisville, Kentucky, where she was reared and educated and later married. From Louisville with her husband the couple moved to St. Louis where he husband was connected with the Missouri-Pacific railroad. They later moved to Wichita, Kansas, then to Trinity, Texas and finally located in Denison, coming here 42 years ago. Surviving are 2 sons, J.A. of Tulsa and Will Sohl of Denison. Also 3 daughters, Mrs. Annie Eyer and Mrs. Libby Hill, of this city; and Mrs. Kate Riley, Houston. 13 great-grandchildren also survive and 5 grandchildren.
