Sunday, February 19, 1905 pg. 3 Mrs. Ida Long Dead Mrs. Ida Long, who has for the past 2 years made a heroic struggle against the invidious approach of consumption, was at last obliged to surrender her young life last Saturday. Only 4 or 5 years ago Mrs. Long was the picture of perfect health. There is no doubt that her devotion to her husband who died with consumption was the means of hastening her death. The deceased was a most estimable and lovely character and her death has caused great sorrow in the community. She leaves a daughter, Thema, aged 6 years; 2 brothers, who live in Oklahoma; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Emma Hutton and Mrs. Frank Brunett of this city. The funeral took place Sunday and was conducted by Rev. Eubank, Mrs. Long being a member of his church.
