Sunday, July 16, 1899 pg. 4 JOHN KACHEL DEAD John Kachel, a resident of Denison for the past 22 years, has joined the throng of pioneers who have passed from the stage of life forever. The deceased has been an invalid for several years which prevented him from an active participation in business duties. He died of enlargement of the heart. Mr. Kachel was a butcher by trade. He was well and favorably known and his death will be received with profound regret. Deceased leaves four children and a wife to mourn his loss. The children are Fred, L.J. and H. Kachel, and Mrs. Eva Warrick. The deceased was buried Tuesday from the family residence, 224 East Johnson Street. The interment was at Fairview cemetery.
