ABSHIRE
DENISON
-- Edwin Grayson Abshire, 69, former local peace officer,
died at 4:10 p.m. Saturday at a local hospital after several days
illness.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at
Waples Memorial Methodist
church, Rev. J. C. Oglesby officiating, with burial
at Fairview
cemetery.
The Denison funeral home was in charge.
Relative include three sons; Raymond, Haskell, and
Edwin Jr., all
of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Bert Lyons of Denison;
a sister,
Mrs. Ed Spudder of Binssom, and five grandchildren. Mrs.
Abshire
dcied a number of years ago.
Born in Ladonia July 31, 1871, Mr. Abshire was the
son of Mr. and
Mrs. Martin Abshire. He served the State National bank as
a
collector.
His home was at 227 R-1 South Bunk.
