DENISON - J.G. "Jigger" Zamora, 73, passed away, Sunday, December 18, 2011, at Texoma Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Raymond England and Gwen Raymond officiating. J.G. was born June 20, 1938, in Trindad, Colorado to James and Emma Zamora. He graduated from Central High School in Pueblo, Colorado. He married Jessie C. Landmon on July, 16, 1958 at Perrin Air Force Base. Mr. Zamora was an Engineer with the MKT Railroad and member of Trinity Lighthouse Church. He was a Sgt. in the United States Air Force from 1956 - 1963 as an aircraft mechanic and was a musician with several bands as a base player. He also loved to restore and show old cars. His latest endeavor was as a Security Officer for Allied Barton. Pallbearers will be Will Footlander, Kendal Kerzee, Josh McGraw, James McGraw, Eric Chancellor, Tyson Drussel and Alex Walker. The family would like to thank Dr. Eshan and the staff at the Texas Oncology Center and the staff of Texoma Medical Center for the wonderful care he received during the his illness. Mr. Zamora's survivors are his wife Jessie Zamora of Denison; son Marty Zamora and wife Lisa of Sherman, Texas; daughter Tammie McGraw of Sherman, Texas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
