Sunday, August 5, 1888 Dr. George W. Williams, Dead. Dr. George W. Williams, after a long continuous sickness, died at his residence in Southeast Denison Friday evening, at the hour of 7 o'clock, aged 55 years. Dr. Williams had been a resident of Denison since its earliest days and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn his taking off. He was a gentleman both by education and disposition, and eminently merited the esteem of his fellow-townsmen. The funeral will take place to-day, August 5, from the family residence at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Fairview Cemetery. The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, September 16, 1888 Dr. George W. Williams had a $2,000 life insurance in the Order of the Knights and Ladies of Honor, and last week Mrs. Williams received a check for the amount. This is one of the most reliable mutual insurance companies in the country, and is very prompt in settling policies. Mrs. Williams received her money in just forty days from the date of sending in the proof of death.
