Miss Nellie Cobb
The death angel visited the home of Mr. R. L. Cobb early Tuesday
morning clasping in his chill embrace the only daughter, Miss Nellie
Cobb. The summons was not unexpected, Miss Cobb having been an invalid
for eleven years, and of late had been railing perceptibly. For a time
after coming to Denison she seemed to improve, but the gain was only
temporary. She exemplified the beauties of gentleness and patience
throughout all her illness as few sufferers are able to exemplify them.
Her gentle presence will be sadly missed by family and friends who had
hoped the genial climate would prove a restorative to their loved one.
She has left a void in the hearts of relatives no other earthly
ties can fill. But the memory of the beautiful, paitent life, and of
the eqully beautiful death will soften the sudden shock.
Miss Cobb came from Michigan to Denison several years ago, and had
entered her 35th year. The funeral service was held at the residence,
1031 W. Bond street, at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, and the remains laid
to rest in Fairview Cemetery.
