Friday, May 11, 1956 pg. 4 Funderburk Funeral Home was in charge of funeral services for John William Tucker, 83, of 1511 W. Elm. Services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the chapel by Rev. Ray D. Laver, pastor of the First Christian church and M.W. Waller. Burial was in Fairview cemetery. Mr. Tucker died Sunday evening at 6:50 after 7 weeks of illness. Pallbearers were R. Myers, Joe Henderson, Morris Carroll, C.K. Ballew, J.W. Ford and Jess Savage. Mr. Tucker was born in Tarrant County June 13, 1872. He was a retired farmer and rancher, and had resided in Ft. Worth before coming to Denison 15 years ago. He had made his home with a son, Elmer (Red) Tucker, 1511 W. Elm. He was a member of the Assembly of God church. Survivors are four sons: Elmer W. of Denison; C.E. Tucker of Perryton; A.P. of Trait, Oregon; and J.C. of St. Petersburg; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
