Funeral services were conducted this week at the Short-Murray chapel with Rev. Hugh Porter officiating, for Mrs. Robert
L.
Irby, 48. Interment was at Fairview.
Mrs. Irby died at a local hospital Sunday. Her home was at 308 E. Chestnut. She had lived in Denison 19 years. Her membership
was with the Trinity Methodist church and she was an active worker in the U.S.O., the Red Cross, Parent-Teachers Association
and Woodmen circle. She was a member of the auditing committee of the  White Rose Grove lodge, Woodmen Circle. Mr. Irby is agent for the T. & P. and K.O.&G. railways.
Mrs. Irby came to Denison in 1923 from Tupelo, Okla., and prior to that time resided at Comanche and Henders. Born in Big Creek, Miss., Feb. 22, 1895, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. C. Boland. She was married Oct. 15, 1911 at Comanche.
Surviving are the husband, three sons, Walter, Jerry Bob Wano of Denison, and Ira Lee of Oklahoma City. A daughter, Mrs.
Velma Ruth Fleming, lives in Denison. Brothers are Cassie and Harvey Boland of Minden, La., and Stafford, Kas. Sisters are
Mrs. Borinna Krug, Guthrie, Okla; Mrs. Luda Sechrist, San Diego, Cal.; Mrs. Sella Brock, Ferris, Okla., and Mrs. Mildred
Smith, Oklahoma City. Three grandchildren also survive.
