CONDENSED HOME NEWS
Monday, March 31 - Death is thinning out the ranks of the veterans.  H.R. Halderman, a member of National Post No. 5, G.A.R., passed away a few days ago at his home in this city.  The deceased was 62 years of age.  During the war he was a member of the 1st Iowa Cavalry.  Mr. Halderman leaves a wife and two married daughters, Mrs. E.G. Evans and Mrs. A.G. Fish, besides a large circle of warm friends to mourn his death.
