Wednesday, April 29, 1942 pg 1 Following an illness of nine months, L.C. Walls, 56, Denison high school custodian since 1920 and resident of this area 30 years, died Tuesday night at 11 o'clock at his home, 1042 West Baker street. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Harlass chapel. Interment will be at Fairview cemetery. Mr. Walls was born Dec. 22. 1885 at McComb, Texas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Walls and was reared and received his education at that point. He was married on Oct. 27, 1907 at Tioga to Miss Nettie Sillers. The couple resided at Whitesboro before coming to Denison. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Fascal Walls of Bastrop and L.C.Walls Jr., of St. Louis; a daughter, Miss Martha Wells of Denison; a sister, Mrs. H. H. Volmert of Vinita, Okla, and two grandchildren.
