Carbolic Acid Causes
Death of C. Morgan

Despondent because he had been thrown out of work and could no longer assist in supporting his parents, Charles Morgan, age 25,  swallowed the contents of a three-ounce bottle containing carbolic acid at about 8 o'clock Sunday night near the drug store of Dr. M. M. White at Denison, young Morgan having gone into the store a few minutes previous to get a bottle of soda.
The deceased had been employed at the Missouri, Kansas and Texas shops for some time as a boilermarker helper, but was discharged a short time ago for smoking cigarettes on duty. Being almost the only means of support for his parents, it is said that the matter weighed heavy on his mind and he had brooded over it for several days. Friends of his say that he exhibited the bottle of acid early in the day saying he was going to "end it all and be done with it."
