Funeral services for Mrs. Francena Louisa Whiteacre, who died Saturday were held Monday from the Bratcher-Moore chapel with interment in Fairview.  Mrs. Whiteacre had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. H.M. Scott, Sr., 1008 W. Crawford.
Born in Marietta, Ohio, December 4, 1863, Mrs. Whiteacre taught school for 2 years in Hutinson, Kansas, where she married George Whiteacre, September 4, 1884, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Whiteacre came to Denison in 1890 and lived here until 1918, when she moved to Wichita Falls and Burkburnett.  She returned here in 1938.
Survivors are 3 sons, Walter Whiteacre of Dallas; Edgar Whiteacre of Artesia, New Mexico; and Forrest Whiteacre of Wichita Falls;
one daughter,Mrs. H.M. Scott, Sr. of Denison; one brother, Charlie Grandon of Barton, Kansas; 2 sisters, Mrs. Amy Rigger of
Bethany, Oklahoma and Mrs. Mary Miller of Hutchinson, Kansas; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
