Maurine Durelle Noe 10 November 1900 - 12 September 1920 Austin College 1921 MISS MAURINE DURELL NOE Denison,
Sept. 13 - Death has entered another happy home in our midst and broken
the family circle. Miss Maurine Durell Noe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Noe, died at 8:10 o'clock Sunday night from the effects of
typhoid fever.
Miss Noe had been sick for some days and relatives and friends alike had, until yesterday, hoped for her recovery, but the end came at the home of her parents at 621 W. Crawford street. Her life was such as to inspire all who knew her with the thought that she made life worth living. Cultured, full of loving deeds, obscessed with a desire to be of service in the world, she was an inspiration to all. At the early age of 10 years she was converted and joined the First Baptist Church of this city. Active all the while in her church life, she was an ideal Christian character. She was born November 10, 1900 and was, therefore, nearly 20 years of age at the time of her death. But the years were filled with intensity. At the graduating class in 1918 in Denison, she was one of the class. The next year was spent in teaching, and in 1919, desirous of still equiping herself, she entered Austin College at Sherman. She is survived by her parents, one brother and five sisters and by her grandfather, W. T. Noe, and two aunts, Misses Susie and Marguerite Noe, of Whitewright, among other relatives. Miss Durell was well known in Whitewright, where she had visited quite often during the last five years. A large number of friends came up from Whitewright to attend the funeral Tuesday afternoon.
